When a malfunction prevents the server from booting and make it externally inaccessible, the only way to recover the server is to use Rescue Mode.
Enabled Rescue Mode makes the server externally accessible again. The user can then do the following:
- Try repairing the server, for example, by fixing the damaged file system or the network configuration.
- Migrate the server data stored on the server disk to another server or any other place.
To enable Rescue mode:
- Login to your dashboard
- Click on your server
- Login to the advanced Cloud Panel by clicking the Login to cloud panel button
- Click the Boot & Rescue Tab
- Click Boot From Rescue ISO
- Click the Apply button
- Reboot your server by pressing the Power Off button in the top right, wait for the server to power off then press the Start button.
